Shareware and demos

Hi all.
Could you tell me what's the difference between a demo and a shareware? It seams the same thing to me.

A demo usually only gives you so many of the features or so many days to review the product; where as shareware doesn't limit you but you are expected to pay for it if you like it. IE, MIrc.
